Weaving fictional characters with the persona and travels of real-life English explorer, Isabella Bird, The Wayfaring Widow follows two friends of Isabella, Victoria Clarke and Harrison Wright, as they explore Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Niagara Falls, and New York City in 1854.
Victoria and Harrison discover that the initial flared tempers of their interactions kindle into an entirely new kind of ardor, one that has them exploring whether they are deserving of a promising and loving future together.

Twenty-two-year-old Georgina Wright has finally left her sheltered upbringing in New York City for an adventure to the Hawaiian Islands in 1873, yet her typical headlong ways not only endanger herself on the trip, but earn the disfavor of her traveling companion—the standoffish Dr. Joseph Livingston Jr.
By losing her rash ways, will Georgina gain something she never expected and of far more worth—Joseph's heart?
