Yes, I lost my ability to speak coherently while reading some of those kissing scenes. And yes, Harrison tended to keep me reaching for my fan. But Cline also infuses the story with depth, balancing the emotional wounds her characters carry with a deep sense of hope (even if the characters themselves have momentarily lost their own)."
